Busy cooking

The kale chips looked so yummy when they were ready.
We ate them up so quickly that there were no photos of the chips!

The carrots were looking ready to harvest. Yeryeong had brought some Korean rice and vege balls for lunch one day and she and Lucy thought it would be a good idea for us to use the carrots to make this dish in class. We were lucky that Yeryeong brought her recipe that we could use to make these in class. They were delicious! Thank you Yeryeong!

Water Is The Healthy Choice

Vegie shop

What a great morning we had selling our vegies, plants, lemons and worm tea in our shop today outside Room 9.  We made some money to buy more plants for our garden.  Thanks so much everyone for supporting the year 2's gardening efforts!

Plants are growing

Room 8 went to check on the vegetables in the garden. We were amazed to see so many vegetables growing big and healthy!  Some vegetables like carrots, broccoli, potatoes and the beans have started to grow, but are not quite ready as yet. Vegetables like the kale and the spinach are ready to cook and eat. Room 9 has already used some of the spinach to make yummy spinach dip.  Room 8 will be using the kale to make yummy kale chips next week. We can't wait!!!

Monday Week 1 Term 4

Today Room 9 visited our garden after the holidays and we noticed : 4 strawberries, purple broccoli flowers,  weeds, potatoes growing, broad beans taller than us, carrots and spinach growing tall, red cabbages.   We felt happy and excited because the vegetables are growing well.
