Busy cooking

The kale chips looked so yummy when they were ready.
We ate them up so quickly that there were no photos of the chips!

The carrots were looking ready to harvest. Yeryeong had brought some Korean rice and vege balls for lunch one day and she and Lucy thought it would be a good idea for us to use the carrots to make this dish in class. We were lucky that Yeryeong brought her recipe that we could use to make these in class. They were delicious! Thank you Yeryeong!

Plants are growing

Room 8 went to check on the vegetables in the garden. We were amazed to see so many vegetables growing big and healthy!  Some vegetables like carrots, broccoli, potatoes and the beans have started to grow, but are not quite ready as yet. Vegetables like the kale and the spinach are ready to cook and eat. Room 9 has already used some of the spinach to make yummy spinach dip.  Room 8 will be using the kale to make yummy kale chips next week. We can't wait!!!

Looking after our garden

We love looking after our garden. We keep the snails away by putting eggshells around the plants.

Plants are growing

It was great to see the plants growing in our vege beds. We saw our carrot, kale and beans plants growing. It was great to weed and water our gardens.

Needs and wants

Wants are things that you might want but not really need like-- chocolate, cotton candy, ice cream, M&Ms, jelly beans, ice blocks, marshmallows and more.

Needs are things that help us with our well- being like-- water, vegetables, fruits, milo, bread, meat, fish, eggs, milk and more.
